Ireland’s Premier Trade Exhibition for the Irish Fishing Industry

The Dates Are Set ....... Make Your Plans Now!
Friday 25th & Saturday 26th June 2010 - Killybegs
.

Fish Ireland has always been the exhibition to do business at - even in these more financially restrictive times our 2008 event defied pessimism and was a success for all involved and proved the resilience and determination of the fishing industry and all of it's support services to succeed!

The exhibition was smaller than previous events, but no less intense. With the reduced state of the industry, now further threatened by spiralling energy and raw material costs, a pessimist might have concluded that Fish Ireland could not attract its usual variety of visitors.

Friday brought contacts from all over Ireland, some known to us, some new. This would have been enough in itself, with some equipment sold off the stand and no particular expectations for the Saturday. The start of the weekend brought yet more rain and an initially glum countenance to Mark's usually happy features. Then, by 11 o'clock, what happened? Suddenly the hall was full - contacts from Kilkeel, Clogherhead, Derry ….. more business done. The car would be going home virtually empty - we couldn't ask for more and still a good number of quotations to be done.

Killybegs and indeed all of Co. Donegal is a delight for the visitor and Fish Ireland has proved to be a triumph of optimism over the adversities facing the industry.

The backers and organisers of Fish Ireland '08 are to be congratulated.

We would like to express our thanks to all involved with the recent Fish Ireland exhibition held at Killybegs.

The exhibition staff were very good at all times, the security great. The weather terrible which did not upset the exhibition in any way. It would have been nice to see a larger attendance on the first day but it was fine on the second - which allowing for the overall state of the industry is as much as any exhibitor could wish for.

We did good business throughout and hope to have got enough of our product sold to prove its claims.

Thanks again to all concerned.

…………………………………

As it was our first time exhibiting at fish Ireland we were quite apprehensive as to how we would be received at the show, but from early Friday morning this apprehension disappeared in a flurry of sales and inquisitive fishermen.
The show carried a strong theme of innovation and sustainability, which our company likes to promote. We would like to thank everyone involved in such a well-organised and diverse show.
